Arysta and I were attending the 2011 CHEK Conference in Mission Valley, CA this past weekend. We spent several days after the conference to connect with Travel Roller contacts in California. We met with Troll at Yard Strength in Gorgeous Hermosa Beach and I shared one of the critical rehabilitative exercises to renew shoulder function after severe injury or dysfunction. This type of experimental movement must be combined with vigorous body rolling and expert fascial massage work into the armpit facsia/soft tissue after any major dislocation or shoulder surgery. I personally rehabilitated my left shoulder from 4 years of complete dysfuction with variation and amplifications of the techniques touched on in this video segment filmed for Troll at Yard Strength. Please realize I have not forgotten to post my blog on weather//geographical position that I have spent the last year researching. I needed to travel  a few more places and had to do more extensive research on the effects of altitude on human organ functions. I am confident I have enough awareness and understanding of some of the factors that lead to the ideal locations on the planet for the exciting 20-60 years to come!

Healing Soup 101

Healing Soup from the Heart - Happy Mothers Day MOMS!!

This blog is dedicated to all the Mothers out their that understand the prinicples of traditions and creating wonderful meals for their families. Learning how to make "proper" soup for the family is an priceless skill that must be passed on from generation to generation.  In my opinion, if our culture gets lazy and keeps resorting to medications, pills and potions to heal VS "soup and love to heal" then that generation is destined for illness and chronic disease. Its up to us to keep the healing soup going and say "NO" to canned soups, instant noodles, soy based alternatives and get our nutrition from powerful natural soups! They are full of vitamins, minerals, alkaline the body, easy to digest, nourish all our organs, help regulate blood pressure etc..... gosh darn it- taste totally Amazing!

Sunshine, Skipping & Sand! (Happy Factors)

OLA ~ Now that we have uncovered many blocking factors in our environment that harm us we must also look for the wonderful things that heal us and be greatful for the wonderful world we live in!  Know matter where we live there will always be downfalls, snow, rain, pollution and violence.  The trick is to be aware and not ignorent of whats happening in our world, but learn and accept it and do the best you can to make your life empowering for you and others!

 

Our trip to Mexico was just what the doctor ordered to recharge our cells with the sunshine! It was the first time Adam and I went NO sunscreen in a Tropical environment! Yep, two very white people going into the sun without any protection! Why? So we can absorb Vitamin D and get the benefits of the liver converting cholesterol and metabolizing hormones naturally. Sunscreen is #1 Blocking factor of sunshine! It is full of chemicals and blocks out the good UVB rays. With careful morning exposure and lots of coconut oil we got a great tan, felt energized and on the road to better health after a very long winter. So to enjoy the benefits of the sun -wear, hats, sunglasses and cotton clothing to block out sun exposure during peak hours of 11-3. Sun makes you happy, makes plants and food grow and regulates all our body processes. I LOVE SUNSHINE!!

 

Skipping is great for the Lymphatic system, its easy and challenging! I Challenge you all to 100-500 normal 'skips' 3 times a week and 15mins of Intense Skipping once a week! When your calves get thight (and they will), use your Travel Roller to roll it out!! Here is the latest skipping goal Adam and I have made with our Double Under Skips.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was walking in the sand and connecting to the Earth. Can't beat running and walking on a white sand beach and swimming in the ocean. The natural massage of the sand between your toes and waves crashing upon your shins feels where we all belong...too bad we cant do that everyday! The greatest part of being in a tropical environment is the natural lushness of flowers, wildlife and fruit growing on the trees. I fell in love with Mangos, can only really eat then in tropical weather when its hot out!  Adam was also very impressive with his primal tree climbing abilities. We drank the water out of 2 coconuts/day which he got down himself and manually cracked open! We ate the coconut meat/fat as our afternoon snack to load up on that good saturated fat, which the liver and body needs, especially when in the sun!! Coconut water, fat and oil on our skin!! Perfecto!!! The mexicans say its good for your kidneys after all the Tequila drinking...no kidding eh?!

 

 If you cant get out to Mexico or somewhere hot ...spring and summer are around the corner! Calgary has one of the longest 'visible' winters but all places north of the 35th parallel only have viable UVB sunlight for 4 months of the year!! Even sunny days September through April have no 'Vitamin D' benefits!! Crap-o-la! If you live in Calgary, enjoy going to the tanning bed weekly, enjoy sweating at the gym when you want to because there is no humdity!! Enjoy being productive with the access to some of the world's best Organic farming and clean portable water sources (monashee & arrowhead). Create your own 'Mexico' with salt rock lamps and sea salting your drinking water mimic ocean swims! (not joking!!) Also a dance around your house with maracas once in a while to reduce stress and have a laugh or two!

Blocking Factors Part 4

I know my clients are really excited for my 'global position' assessment of where the best place to live over the next 20-60 years is; however we will all wait for 1 or 2 more weeks as I am bringing as many factors as possible into that analysis. I have had to do some incredibly challenging reading/learning on weather patterns and global concepts which is something new for me to learn about. I believe I have the majority of the primary factors I need to consider to deliver percise locations worldwide that make it possible for humans to have vitality and energy in the coming challenging years for us all. Please send me a note if you live somewhere and believe its a magical place that delivers that 'energy' to a wide variety of citizens and people of all ages.

 

Before I get going onto Blocking Factors 4, I wanted to point out one of the worst ways someone can poison themselves unintentionally. Your cooking ware and your pots could be contaminanting even the most wonderful organic foods you are buying. First off; never use a mircowave, second off never use a Teflon coated pan as Teflon is toxic, third never use a cast iron pot as the open metal releases metal ions into the food especially if you cook meat, fourth never use any cook ware that isn't 'sealed'. Your only choices are truly glass www.pyrex.com , 'le creuset' brand of cookware www.lecreuset.ca , or a Thermolon coaked pan www.green-pan.com .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Onto blocking factors 4. This is going to be somewhat of an onslaught of stats and facts; its not for your enjoyment its for your awareness building and our mutual pursuit of truth, health, and vitality.

 

 

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) set standards for industry's to control and limit the release/use of synthetically created chemicals. Both agencies claim that the 80000 new chemicals created and emitted into the environment since 1906 are 'safe'. Unfortunately, this is not true. Of the currently logged and reported 80000 chemicals registered with EPA, only 600 must be reported by law to the EPA for the Toxic Release Inventory. Most of the chemicals produced in vast quantities have never been studied at all and studies showing combined effects or chemical 'synergy's' do not exist.

 

 

Of the 80000 chemicals only 250 can be tested for within human hair, stool, and blood. Of the 250 testable chemicals in humans 210 of them show up in random testing completed on average citizens. On all the studies I have read the average person will have 91 of the 250 testable chemicals of the 80000 registered pollutants at any one time. The amount in each person will vary drastically based on there initial 'womb burden' combined to there ongoing exposure from their air, water, and food exposures reduced by there detoxification efforts natural or otherwise through exercise, sweating, chelation therapies, and or attempted 'cleanses'.

 

 

Here is a short list of what we are all up against:

 

- More than 3000 chemicals are added to our food supply

 

- 700 chemicals have been found in "tap" water. I am not talking about the intentially added poisons like fluoride or chlorine but the stuff no one is talking about and you definitely can't see. Of the chemicals in tap water, its the unfilterable estrogen's from womens birth control pills combined with xeonestrogen's (estrogen mimicing substances) from the agricultural, petroleum and plastic pollutants. All of these are endocrine disruptors and all greatly affect our bodies leading to estrogen dominance. Watch this youtube related to the city where I live, Calgary:

 

 

 

Drinking the tap water pretty much anywhere is a very bad idea, in major city, a never. You can try to filter the shower water to remove heavy metals and chlorines, but you can not unfortunately filter the estrogens. So limit your shower time people! Bathing is a no no with what we know now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- 500 different chemical ingredients are routinely found in an average person's home. Under the kitchen sink and in the laundry room. Many have incomplete ingredient lists as the 'proprietary formula' must be kept secret so we don't copy there insideous act of poisoning the human race... harsh but true.

 

- The average american household contains 100lbs of hazardous chemicals and waste. I personally made two trips to the fire department hazardous waste depot two years ago, but somehow the house refilled with chemicals as several of my families properties sold and the chemicals all found a temporary resting place in my basement and garage. These photos are from my third visit to the hazardous waste depot 2 years after I already emptied everything once before. I would estimate that I have removed more than 200+ lbs of chemicals from my house (notably I did not purchase any of them... more on that later)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- A random example of what we are up against? Perchlorate chemical is used by NASA, the USA defense contractors and US Air Force to create rocket fuel. This chemical is disposed of directly into the ground and abandoned mines. Perchlorate has containmentated the ground and tap water of 43 states in the USA alone. In research studies tracking perchlorate in humans; it is estimated that 1.6 million US women who are child bearing are exposed to more perchlorate thatn EPA 'supposed' safe recommended dose by eating lettuce during the winter months alone! Fun times! Any fruit or vegetable watered with perchlorate contaminated water has perchlorate within its fibers and fluids. In another study 1500 infants were tracked in two cities, one with perchlorate contaminated water and the other without; the results showed that infants raised in the city with perchlorate contaminated water had significantly lower thyroid function. Perchlorate is known to cross the placenta membrane as is mercury. So realize that a lot of the chemicals you have stored inside your body can come from before you even started exposing yourself to them.

 

- Another random example of where the chemicals are poisoning you without you knowing about it... Is your razor with those wonder slippery 'aloe' strips on them. Wake up humans; get rid of these type of hidden poisons. I have taken picture of an 'ingredient' list of these wonderful slippery strips that make shaving such a pleasure:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's probably enough from me on the topic. Just consider that the EPA and FDA only pertain to USA and imagine what is going on over in China and India where there are NO regulations on polluting or dumping chemicals!!! If you want a real education in this entire pollution disaster that's going on worldwide (and we are all being effected  because the pollution does not stay put) and is about to hit unmanagable proportions very soon, then I recommend reading this books:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So what do we all do?

1. Replace all your pots and pans with pyrex glass ware, Thermolon coated frying pans, and 'le creuset' brand pots.Limit exposure to all chemicals all of the time.

2. Limit shower time. Use shower filters. Do not swim in chlorinated tap water pools.

3. Remove as many chemicals from your home as you can and take them to the local fire department harzardous waste depot.

4. Use a daily sauna (preferably infrared or dry) to assist your body detoxify. Try to exercise as often as possible. Even a 30min power walk is enough to start sweating. Get that sweat on! I personally love skipping rope!

5. Use chlorella daily. You can find complete information on this on the AIR online webcart. 

6. Hire a lifestyle expert to assess your personal toxicity and work on a long term gradual awareness and detoxifiaction/chelation program.

7. Avoid using any 'juicing' or cleansing programs that are deficient in proteins.
