What has happened?
1. Fundamental foods have not been passed down from grandmothers and grandfathers. Fundamental foods would be the foods that kept the human race healthy and strong over the past several thousand years. Examples of such foods would be: raw milk, butter cultured from cows eating green grass, properly soaked and naturally leavened sourdough grains, organic vegetables raised without chemicals. These fundamentals foods allow the pancreas and liver to work properly and maintain the correct bacterial cultures in the intestines while preventing overgrowth of 'bad' bacteria and the over development of fungal forms.
2. Technologically engineered and raised food crops that look amazing and contain nothing but water and chemicals. Genetically modified plant and animal commercial foods available to the consumer for very little money. All of these foods have not been properly tested on humans over a long enough period of time to understand the true effects. And most importantly these foods are not from nature. These deplete natural intestinal probiotic cultures significantly and over tax the functionality of the entire digestive system as there is too much mass with too little nutrients. The commercial meats are raised with terrible feed and filled full of antibiotics which is present in all of the meat and fat of their bodies. Simply: modern commercial foods are not healthy or safe for human consumption.
3. Fast foods and processed foods have taken over our grocery stores and fit far too easily into our over scheduled and under rested lives. This shift has allowed a entire category of non-foods enter into our bodies all too often and too regularly. Even the development of the yeast containing quick rise bread is simply a modern varied food that is not fundamental to our bodies and therefore depletes our tissues and taxes our immune system. These non-whole foods DO NOT FEED HUMANS --- these foods feed our unwelcome and over developed guests in our digestive tracts.
4. Misinformation from the government/modern media. Reporting to the public only studies that meet the prestigious FDA or Health Canada seal of approval --- meaning the companies paying for the multi-million dollar studies are big pharmaceutical giants or have direct interests in such companies. All of these studies track how peoples blood chemistry changes while they take different prescriptions drugs while not controlling any measure of food quality or life stressors. 10000 diet/lifestyle books based on fades of low fat and vegetarian strategies to get away from the foods that grandma still eats and raised us on.
5. Over prescribing anti-biotics to combat the unseen and unknown 'bacteria' that make us sick. This is the final nail in the coffin that robs our bodies of every last probiotic culture that our mom's attempted to provide to us in her breast milk. Once a poorly developed human intestinal tract is exposed to broad based anti-biotics without a fundamental food high probiotic diet in place; say hello to the beginning of a long long long term relationship with an over development of bad bacteria and fungus that will influence your every waking decision. This change in the intestinal environment permanently alters the entire bio-chemistry of the human; thoughts, emotions, actions are all somewhat warped as the human is essentially a host to a growing farm of fungus that causes chaos from within. Altering and impairing the humans perspective and interpretation of there life and purpose.
6. Over the counter pain medications that should never be over the counter. Tylenol, Advil, Robaxacet, etc all of these should not be in your pantry or truly ever available to you. Even in circumstance of extreme acute pain, it is better to suffer at that time then mask the pain by destroying the lining of your digestive, probiotic friends in your intestines, and impairing liver functions. All too often these over the counter medications are used freely and regularly to curb any acute pain or chronic pain. Worse of all is most of these chronic and acute incidences of pain are actually signals that your body is already not functioning properly and needs assistance to detoxify and then desperately needs clean organic fundamental foods. Never assume a pain in your back is your back muscles needing some Advil!
7. Non-integrative medicine. When we are at the massage therapist, they don't intuitively mention that there may be a connection with chronic muscle tension and nutrition/digestion. When we go to our MD's with all sorts of 'symptoms' they first prescribe anti-biotics with their fingers crossed then prescribe a whole ascending list of other drugs as our bodies display more and more symptoms and we are less healthy. Even a trip to the chiropractor to get a little ART and a crack does not have a component of holistic wellness information regarding the use of fundamental foods and investigating the digestive system functionality as a major causality of misalignment of the spine and associated muscular compensation through out the body.
8. The reduction of high quality fats in our diets. Humans are raised on high fat breast milk and require a significant daily intake of high quality fat to have our liver/gallbladder open completely. When the diet does not have a high intake of high quality fats, the gallbladder develops accumulations of of fatty deposits that are called gallstones. Once the gallbladder is full of stones, this dehydrating and stiffing of the bile fluids from the liver with create stones in the liver. Once there is stones in the gallbladder and liver, bad LDL blood cholesterol will rise, increase in calcifications in all other organs of the body especially the kidneys.
9. Chemical toxins and heavy metals. Simple the world is getting more and more polluted. We are part of this world. The amount of chemical poisons and heavy metals that a modern city born human is absorbing today means an all out assisted detoxification is in order at every stage of life. Simply put our bodies do not have the mechanisms or enzymes to remove mercury, lead, nickel, arsenic, and the other 70000 petroleum based chemicals that are found on the interiors of our cars, in our toothpaste, facial creams, etc etc. Bring on the chlorella, cilantro, and garlic!
How do I know if I have an over development of bad bacteria or fungus?
Very simple. If you eat non-whole foods and feel good. If you crave sugar, popcorn, peanuts, beer, wheat, artificial processed food products, tropical fruit in the middle of winter, subway. If you always need a sweet dessert to feel well. If your bowel movements are inconsistent, constipated or diarrhea. If you notice significant puffiness that fluctuates with what you eat. Furthermore, direct signs and symptoms of an extreme over growth of bad guys in the intestines is an ever growing list of 'allergen' foods, an inability to handle any form of stress, an inability to feel joy or move your body with a relaxed and natural flow.
How do I know if I have excess heavy metals stored in my body?
Simple. Do or have you had metal fillings in your teeth? Have you used commercial makeup, shampoo, toothpaste? Have you ever worked around paint or painted your house with commercial paint? Have you ever bought a new car and driven around in it for the first couple years? Have you ever taken prescription drugs? Have you used commercial cleaning products to clean the house? Have you ever played with new plastic toys made in china? etc etc etc.
A further note here: bad bacteria and fungus enjoy taking up homes in people bodies that are full of poisons and metals. So if you have had a mouth full of metal fillings; count on it that you have stored mercury in your body and a whole farm of bad guys hanging out in your small intestine.
How do I know if I have a congested gallbladder and liver?
If you have ever entertained a low fat diet for more than 2 weeks. If you have ever competed in a fitness or sporting competition that requires to to limit fats and to dehydrate for the competition. IF you were raised on commercial half foods. If you can't process high fat meals and need a constant supply of high glycemic sugar snacks to kept things going. If you crave several cups of coffee in the morning to get the metabolism going. If you have 'heart burn'. If you get hiccups regularly especially after rich meals. If you always need to drink wine and or alcohol with your meals.
From all of this we can quickly see that most modern people are fighting a liver/gall bladder imbalance, ever accumulating environment poisons and heavy metals, and a over growth of bad bacteria and fungus in our small intestines. So how do we fix this and get back to grandma's cooking!?
